A website is a group of web pages that share a name and are on the Internet. Websites can be about anything, like news, education, shopping, entertainment or social media.

Web pages are files that use HTML, which is a language for making web documents. HTML tells what a web page has, like headings, paragraphs, images, links, forms, etc. Web pages can also have other things, like scripts, stylesheets, multimedia, and interactive elements.

To see a website, you need to type its name into a web browser, which is a program that shows web pages. A name matches a number that tells where a website is on the Internet. For example, the name www.geeksforgeeks.org matches the number 104.20.70.85.

You can also see a website by clicking on a hyperlink, which is a text or image that takes you to another web page or thing on the same or different website. Hyperlinks make the World Wide Web (WWW), which is a group of websites on the Internet.
